Dr. Guinn only treats jaw-related problems.  He limited his practice to TMJ disorders and facial pain exclusively over 35 years ago.  He is focused on an accurate diagnosis and supportive treatment for each individual patient.  He has dedicated his professional life to the relief of jaw pain, jaw dysfunction, headaches, associated neck pain, and ear symptoms.  Dr. Guinn performs no general dental treatment, and rarely recommends braces, crowns, or surgery to treat a jaw problem.  He has found that by utilizing a team approach with other excellent clinicians, treatment time and expense for the patient can be greatly reduced.

Over 800 dentists and physicians throughout the intermountain states regularly refer their patients to his office.  He is the only doctor in Utah and the surrounding states that is board-certified by the American Board of Orofacial Pain.  He has lectured to dentists and physicians throughout the U.S. and Canada on the management of these problems since 1981.
